Where can I get dollhouse files for an xTool laser?
Make them in Houscaper. You design the house in your browser and Export gives you a ZIP of SVG sheets in millimeters, with a red CUT layer and a blue ENGRAVE layer, that you import into xTool Creative Space. Choose 600 × 400 mm, 400 × 300 mm or 300 × 400 mm to match your machine's work area.

Choosing the sheet for your xTool
Compare the parts area with your machine's work area, and pick the largest sheet that fits. A smaller sheet spreads the same parts across more sheets.
| Sheet size | Parts area |
|---|---|
| 600 × 400 mm | about 580 × 380 mm |
| 400 × 300 mm | about 380 × 280 mm |
| 300 × 400 mm | about 280 × 380 mm |
Importing into xTool Creative Space
- Import one sheet SVG at a time and keep its size in millimeters.
- Measure the 50 mm check bar at the bottom left to confirm the import is true size.
- Give the blue ENGRAVE paths an engrave or score setting and the red CUT paths a cut setting.
- Run the engrave first, then the interior holes, then the outer contours.
Board and kerf
Enter the thickness you measured, between 0.5 and 5 mm, because slot widths follow it. Cut the fit coupon on a scrap first and apply your kerf offset in xTool Creative Space; the default reference is 0.12 mm.
Open the Houscaper workshop and set these options in Export. The full walkthrough is in the laser-cut dollhouse guide.
