What scale should I use for a laser-cut miniature house?
Houscaper offers five model scales: 1:20, 1:30, 1:50, 1:60, 1:70. It defaults to 1:30, where one 900 mm house module becomes a 30 mm tile on the sheet.

Tile size at each scale
| Model scale | Tile size | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1:20 | 45 mm | |
| 1:30 | 30 mm | Default |
| 1:50 | 18 mm | |
| 1:60 | 15 mm | |
| 1:70 | 12.9 mm |
How scale changes your build
Scale sets the real-world size of each voxel tile on the cut sheets. A larger scale makes bigger parts and a bigger finished house, so the layout needs more sheet area. A smaller scale does the opposite.
Export shows an approximate finished width, depth, and height for your design at the scale you pick, so you can check the model fits the space you have before you cut anything.
Pairing scale with board
Thin stock suits small tiles. The default pairing is a 1:30 scale on 2 mm board.
